Multi-Handset Cordless Phones

Multi-handset cordless phones are useful in both home and small office settings for a multitude of reasons.  How they’re used is really quite simple.  There is one base station that plugs into a standard telephone line.  Instead of one handset, though, as is the usual cordless phone set-up, there are multiple handsets that communicate with one base station.  The most obvious advantage to this set-up is that handsets can be conveniently located throughout the home or office facility.  To recharge the internal battery, all that is needed is a power source, and not access to the base unit as in traditional cordless phones.

The advantage in the home is clear.  If there are handsets located throughout the house, it is easy to locate a phone quickly when there is a call.  No more dashing up and down stairs in order to get to the phone.  Also, handsets are easily misplaced, so the advantage of additional handsets is clear.

Small offices can utilize this technology to give more staff members phone access without the expense of multiple lines.  If your office doesn’t have too much phone traffic, the multi-handset cordless phone is an option to consider.
